Dr Catelyn Dorsey DCounsPsych, MSc, MBACP Registered

If you’re seeking self-understanding, healing from past traumas, breaking generational cycles, and building resilience, I am here to help.

Together, we’ll examine both the internal and external factors contributing to your current challenges and work through them. Many aspects of life can impact our mental wellbeing, and during significant transitions, we may struggle with change.

It is often when things feel out of our control and we are not aligned with our ideal self that we experience distress. My goal is to help you unpack and process elements of the past, work towards meaningful changes in the present, and create a lasting impact on your future.

I am an integrative practitioner, meaning I lean on and merge varying therapeutic modalities such psychodynamic, CBT, and systemic theories. Therapy should be tailored around your specific needs and what it is you are hoping to gain or explore. I offer open-ended therapy sessions with interval reviews on the work we’re doing together.

You deserve to be treated as an individual and co-construct the therapy that would be of most benefit to you. The therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance to the outcome of therapy as it is the basis of trust and rapport that allows for us to engage in this process together. So, if you feel that I will be a good fit for you, please do reach out.
